This dish is a warm, home-cooked meal for those nights when you’re short on time.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, cut into chunks
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 8-10 grape tomatoes, cut in half
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1-2 tbsp. tomato juice
- 1-2 tbsp. heavy cream
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1-2 tsp garlic
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- pasta of your choice
- Cut peppers into strips.
- Cut tomatoes into halves.
- Cut sausage into chunks.
- Add sausage, grape tomatoes, and peppers to pan and cook until the sausage is no longer pink and the peppers are soft.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, heavy cream, sugar, and spices. Simmer on low 10-15 minutes.
- Serve over pasta of your choice.
