This dish is a warm, home-cooked meal for those nights when you’re short on time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sweet Italian sausage, cut into chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8-10 grape tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1-2 tbsp. tomato juice
  • 1-2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1-2 tsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • pasta of your choice
  1. Cut peppers into strips.
  2. Cut tomatoes into halves.
  3. Cut sausage into chunks.
  4. Add sausage, grape tomatoes, and peppers to pan and cook until the sausage is no longer pink and the peppers are soft.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, heavy cream, sugar, and spices. Simmer on low 10-15 minutes.
  6. Serve over pasta of your choice.
